New London Found
Studio 33 Art & Frame Gallery presents New London Found, mixed media artwork by Maurene Kennedy; created with antique and vintage ephemera and found objects, regarding historic, and original to, New London. Opens Wed. 1 Jul 2026,10:00-4:00 pm, on view through the end of September. Maurene studied at Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, Lyme Art Association, Mystic Museum of Art, and Three Rivers Community College where she also earned a certificate in Graphic and Communication Arts. She was Artist in Residence under the Urban Artists Initiative, Institute for Community Research, Connecticut Commission on the Arts. Maurene has worked in the arts field at Lyman Allyn Art Museum, Hygienic Art Gallery, The Tsetse Gallery, Garde Arts Center Institute For Creativity, and Studio 33 Art & Frame Gallery. She currently serves as Member At Large of the New London Arts Council.
