At the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month…the end of WWI. In 1919, President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed November 11 as Armistice Day to commemorate the moment. In 1954, Congress changed the name to Veterans Day, a legal holiday in the USA, honoring all the soldiers and sailors everywhere, living or deceased, who bravely bore our country’s cause. Twenty five million veterans are living among us today. We are ever grateful for their sacrifice and service.
