November 26 Small Business Saturday – Local Jewelry Designer and Marine Oil and Acrylic Painter, Artist Lori McClain, an avid sea glass collector for decades, will be a featured artist at Studio 33 with her locally recovered sea glass jewelry, sea glass decorative items, pewter sea creatures, wrapped vintage bottles, and decorated oyster shells . Lori is very knowledgeable in the identification of sea glass – its age, rarity, and even identifying the probable history of the original item.
Alexey More will have greeting cards and a framed print on display as a brand new Studio 33 featured artist. Alexey was born in Germany, her family moved to the US after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Alexey studied at Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts, she earned her BFA in Illustration at Pacific Northwest College of Art. Alexey draws a cartoon series called “The Disgruntled Baristas”, it is based on her experiences as a barista and her interpretations of coffee shop counter-culture. her work comments on ways in which personal history is influenced by urban landscapes.
